She said that on the night that she killed the Super TV CEO, she and the man had drunk and smoked until it was midnight, and so she was very tired and wanted to sleep.
It was at this point that the murdered CEO tried to make advances towards her, but she refused, causing her and the victim to have a disagreement.
According to her, she then tried to leave the hotel room, but the victim went and locked the door to prevent her from leaving. This led to a further altercation.

It was amid the struggle that she brought out a knife and stabbed him twice in the neck. She then threw the knife on the bed.
When asked if she stabbed him elsewhere, she confessed that she also stabbed him another time when he ran to grab the knife from the bed.

Chidinma further revealed that after her victim died, she picked up her bags, changed her clothes, and quietly left the hotel room.

She also admitted that she withdrew the large sum of 380,000 naira from the dead CEO's bank account before she disappeared.
